  • The following FAQs will help you identify the correct fuel cap or fuel gauge for your application.

  • Measure the tank depth as shown in the installation diagram. To ensure proper clearance and unrestricted gauge movement, subtract at least 1/2 inch (13 mm) from the measured depth when selecting your gauge length.

  • Measure the outside diameter of the tank's threaded filler neck.

    A 225 Series fuel cap requires a thread outside diameter of approximately 2-1/4 inches (57 mm). Refer to the dimensional drawing for verification.

  • Measure the outside diameter of the tank's threaded filler neck.

    A 350 Series fuel cap requires a thread outside diameter of approximately 3-1/2 inches (89 mm). Refer to the dimensional drawing for verification.

  • Kelch fuel gauges are supplied with one of several factory-produced face designs. The gauge style received may vary from the examples shown.

    Gauge face styles are assigned by the manufacturer and cannot be selected, substituted, or customized.

  • No. Kelch fuel caps and gauges are manufactured using specialized assembly and calibration equipment.

    For safety and performance reasons, field repairs, modifications, or component-level replacements are not recommended. If a cap or gauge is damaged or malfunctioning, the complete assembly should be replaced.

    • A photo of your existing cap, gauge, or tank opening

    • The outside diameter of the filler neck threads

    • The tank depth (for fuel gauge applications)
